Built from a real family problem

Children should learn how to learn.

AfterSchoolHQ started at home - one parent building, the other teaching - both trying to help their 7-year-old learn without shortcuts.
It brings together real classroom experience and a practical, hands-on approach to learning.

Built by a parents, and UK teachers.

Why it exists

Traditional homework support often misses the real goal.

Many tools help children finish work. AfterSchoolHQ is built around a different belief: children need confidence, curiosity, and strategies for thinking.

The ways we learn are constantly changing. We moved from a world where much of the knowledge children needed was found in libraries, to the internet making information available to everyone, and now to AI being able to provide information instantly.

That makes the real skill even more important: children need to learn how to learn in the modern age. They need to ask better questions, judge information thoughtfully, connect ideas, and keep going when the answer is not obvious.

The founder’s perspective as a parent keeps the product practical and emotionally honest. School teachers help keep the learning techniques grounded in real teaching practice.

The vision is simple: independent, curious learners who know how to ask better questions.
